Dr. Timothy S. Palomera
Board Certified in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine
A native of San Antonio, Timothy S. Palomera M.D. completed his undergraduate and medical training in the Alamo City. After serving as chief resident in his family medicine residency program, he completed a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
He is currently Board Certified in Family Medicine with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine.
Dr. Palomera currently serves as team physician for the WNBA San Antonio Silver Stars, the AHL San Antonio Rampage, the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and Trinity University. He has served as the head team physician for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl since 2005, and is past chairman of the Valero Go Kids! Challenge.
He is also on the medical staffs of the NBA San Antonio Spurs, the San Antonio Rock-N-Roll Marathon and several local high schools. Dr. Palomera specializes in the non-operative treatment of sports injuries including concussion management and injuries to the spine, upper and lower extremities.
