A native of San Antonio, Dr. Timothy S. Palomera is a specialist in Primary Care Sports Medicine and has been in practice for over 20 years. He was a founding member of Sports Medicine Associates of San Antonio in 2004 along with Drs. David Schmidt and Paul Saenz and, in addition to being Clinical Faculty for the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship, was the program's inaugural Fellowship Director.

Dr. Palomera serves as team physician for St. Mary's University, Texas A&M San Antonio, and Trinity University. He was also the Head Primary Care Sports Medicine Team Physician for the AHL San Antonio Rampage for over 14 years and also served as team physician for the University of Texas at San Antonio. Dr. Palomera is currently in his 10th year as the Medical Director for the U.S. Army All American Bowl.

 In 2016, Dr. Palomera joined the San Antonio Sports Board of Directors and currently serves on their Bids and Events Committee. He also continues to work closely with the San Antonio Chamber, having served as Co-Chair of Leadership San Antonio Class 39 in 2014.
