Matt began his educational career by obtaining his undergraduate degree at Texas Tech University where he majored in Exercise & Sports Science, graduating with high honors. After, he went on to receive his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He then went on to further specialize in the field of sports physical therapy becoming a Board-Certified Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists. He is also a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength & Conditioning Association.
Growing up playing multiple sports year-round, Matt understands how essential proper rehab and recovery is to be able to compete at the highest level. He has a high interest in treating various orthopedic and sports relation conditions and takes pride in providing evidence-based specific treatments as well as utilizing his strength & conditioning knowledge to progress beyond typical care.
When he’s not working in the clinic, Matt enjoys spending his time with his family and dog, keeping active through strength training or playing sports, exploring the area for the best eats, and relaxing by watching whatever sports program is on.
