Dr. Steven Potter is a board-certified specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) and Primary Care Sports Medicine. A native of San Antonio, he earned his undergraduate degree from Texas State University and graduated with honors from Rocky Vista University of Osteopathic Medicine, where he received his medical degree and was president of the Sports Medicine Club. Dr. Potter was recognized as Resident of the Year twice at UT Health San Antonio and served as Academic Chief Resident. He completed further training as a Sports Medicine Fellow at TIGMER, affiliated with the University of the Incarnate Word. 

Before his medical career, Dr. Potter studied aging physiology at UT Health San Antonio and earned a master’s degree from Regis University. He enjoyed a successful career as a personal trainer, focusing on corporate wellness in Texas and New Jersey, as well as spine rehabilitation in Colorado.

Dr. Potter has served as Medical Tent Captain for the San Antonio Rock’n’Roll Marathon and volunteer through the Achilles Club of NYC and Challenged Athletes Foundation of San Diego. Currently, he is the Medical Director of the Student Health Center and an associate team physician at St. Mary’s University.
